Seatalk 2 is told to be NMEA 2000 compatible. Is it possible to connect a ST290 Graphics to a NMEA 2000 or Seatalk NG directly? I mean without using a ST290 DPU.Thank you.Regards.Continue

"The DPU is older Seatalk 2 and is not NMEA 2000 compliant as is the STng. There is no upgrade for the DPU."

I tried to connect a ST290 DPU and a ST290 Graphics to a Seatalk NG bus using the NMEA 2000 input as you can see in the first picture.The graphic do not show any information as you can see in the same picture.If I connect the dpu using the Seatalk I input it works perfectly.I am sure the DPU, the ST and the cables are working properly. "Hello Pier,  We have just finished a test case here and it is not possible to connect an ST290 Graphic to the SeaTalkNg or a NMEA2000 backbone directly. The ST290 Graphic needs the ST290 DPU to function.      "

Considering: upgrade the E80 Classic to E95 but waiting until it will be able to change software version on other Raymarine instruments
