RN300 Display Screen Partially Viewable

My right half of my RN300 display screen is blank. No image. The left half shows the images and the device is operational (other than the display screen) I have disassembled the unit and looked for any obvious root causes, such as wires disconnected, but nothing was found to be the issue. Does anyone know what electronic component could be defective and affecting the right side of the screen. Or possibly a contact who has a good working knowledge of this model?Thank you!See More

Detach a steering wheel equipped with EV-100?

Hello,I would like to install the EV-100 Wheel autopilot on my 30' sailboat.  My question is whether the steering wheel can easily be detached after installation and stored out of the way when not in use.  My cockpit is small and when anchored or moored we remove the wheel to allow easier movement around the cockpit.  I have gotten two conflicting answers from sales reps at boat shows regarding the ease of removal.  Is it a matter of just undoing a cable or does the removal involve unscrewing…See More

C-Widescreen and E-Widescreen on Same HS Network?

I want to add backup and lower helm MFD displays to my current system: E-140-Widescreen, DSM-300 sounder, and RD424HD radome system, all talking to each other through a HS Switch. Can I add one or two C-series Widescreens (90, or 120 or 140) to this system and share everything?  The more I read about HS, the more I think it would work, but the manuals for both the C-series Widescreens and the E-series-Widescreens don't address this and only talk about networking with their own kind. For a backup…See More

"Mark, It's a pretty safe assumption that if the SeaTalk to SeaTalkng Converter has a 2015 date stamp on it, that it has v1.21 software within it."

Upgrade to Lighthouse II v13.37 on e7D MFD - Problems with charts

I upgraded my e7D from Lighthouse v11.26 to v13.37 and had problems with chart display even after a Reset from the menu selection in the MFD.1. The onscreen instructions (in red text, during the upgrade) say to leave the SD card in the reader until instructed to remove it. Before and after the automatic reboot I did not see an instruction to remove the upgrade SD card from the reader. When is the correct point in the procedure to remove the card?2. Pictures attached show one of the results of…See More
