RN300 Display Screen Partially Viewable

My right half of my RN300 display screen is blank. No image. The left half shows the images and the device is operational (other than the display screen) I have disassembled the unit and looked for any obvious root causes, such as wires disconnected, but nothing was found to be the issue. Does anyone know what electronic component could be defective and affecting the right side of the screen. Or possibly a contact who has a good working knowledge of this model?Thank you!See More

AUTOPILOT ST1000+, 180 deg. error

My Autopilot ST1000+ used to work fine. It is about 5 years old, and has not been used very much. When I tried to put it on auto, it turns 180 deg. and starts going crazy from port to starboard and so on.I have tried to calibrate it a few times according to the booklet instructions, but no change.I have noted that the heading shown on the display is 180 deg. wrong.Any ideas what to do ?John BigrasSee More

DSM 300

I have a DSM300 connected to  (2) E90W displays thru a network switch. I updated the software to the latest version. Now I get a fault where the ping is disabled. The only way I have been able to clear it is to power everything down, Remove the fuse feeding the DSM300  and removing and reinstalling the power cable. This is happening repeatedly. Never had the issue before I updated the software. Any ideas?See More

"Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forum Ray, It is indeed possible to splice the wind transducer's cable back together.  As you have indicated, when splicing cables featuring shields, the shield should be spliced as well."

Repairing wind transducer cable

Hi, Folks- If I cut the transducer cable for to my windvane (it's a new Raymarine short arm masthead wind transducer), is it possible to splice it back together? I understand that there is a shielded cable in there that may pose some difficulty.RaySee More

Using and EV1 with an SX30

I have recently replaced my earlier Furuno system with a Raymarine system consisting of 2 E125's an A65, a P70, an RS130 GPS and an HD Color Radome.  There are also 2 Actisense NGW units linking in legacy NMEA0183 equipment and the AIS unit. To this linked by the NG bus is an existing Smartpilot X30 which drives a 24v Type 2 linear drive. All of this is working well.It is my intention to replace the X30 and retain it as a spare system. I have in my possession an EV 1 Sensor Core but…See More
