Bob Schlueter replied to Bob Schlueter's discussion i50 mph boat speed wrong...how do I adjust it?
"We are on the Great Lakes...no tides. When I make a run to a known destination, the gps calculates correctly the travel time over the 50 mile run...the i50 does not. Plus, the older electronic paddle wheel speed instrument that was replaced by the…"

Richard Carey replied to Bob Schlueter's discussion i50 mph boat speed wrong...how do I adjust it?
"The i50 Display will give Speed Thru the Water, not Speed Over Ground.  The GPS will give Speed Over Ground, not Speed Thur the Water.  The difference between the two is the effect of the Current.  The Speed Thru the water is the…"

Richard Carey replied to Rick Hamill's discussion ST40 Temperature Calibration
"I understand that you can test the display by disconnecting the input from the Speed/Temp Sensor and connecting a 10kOhn resistor to the pins that get the temp signal.  The display should read about 20 Deg. C and 68 Deg. F.  The sensor…"

"Dear FLOB: Thank you for your reply. So, is there something which needs to be replaced? It doesn't make sense to me that the temp. display can be off by 10 degrees without some way to correct it? Thanks. Rick"
