I purchased a previously owned boat with all raymarine electronics on it. 2014 SeaHunt Gamefish 25. How can I register everything in my name? E97 with built in sounder with auto pilot, VHF, Sirius weather receiver and Navionics. Any advice on registering the Navionics will be appreciated too.

Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forum Bernie,

For warranty purposes, you will need to have the prior owner provide you sales documentation for the Raymarine equipment.  In lieu of this documentation the production date (found within the serial number of each product will be used as the date of sales).  Such documentation would accompany any product for which warranty service is required.  You may register the products by determining the serial numbers of the Raymarine products installed onboard and then, use the Register Raymarine Product Online feature within the My Account web page associated your Raymarine web site login account.

Should you have a Navionics chart card featuring RYM within its product ID, then it cannot be registered.  However, should your Navionics Chart card not have RYM within its product ID, then it would have been separately purchased from and authorized Navionics dealer and should be registered via the Navionics web site after having created a login ID on that web site.  Your Navionics chart card will need to be connected to your computer to perform such registration.

That's a lot to work on. Thanks for the help. I'll be back in touch.

You're welcome.

My Navionics chip has the RYM so it is not eligible for registration.
The broker is looking up the original sale date for my electronics. He said he could send a letter as proof of sale for me to use to register the unit(s) in my name.
Also how do I find the version of the Navionics? (Gold, etc. and version number)

Bernie,

The current version of software that is installed within your MFD and any products whcih have been interfaced to the MFD via RayNet/SeaTalkhs/Ethernet communications protocol or SeaTalkng/NMEA 2000 communications protocol may be determined via the list returned from the command sequence HOME->SET-UP->MAINTENANANCE->DIAGONSTICS->SELECT DEVICE.  Before executing this command, ensure that all systems, including your engines have been powered ON.  Should the MFD have been updated with the latest a/c/e/gS-Series MFD software update, then it will populate the chart card with a file titled config.xml.  Should your MFD not have been updated with the latest a/c/e/gS-Series MFD software update, then it should be updated accordingly.  The config.xml file will contain information concerning the date of cartography:

ex. <dataAge>2013-02-23</dataAge>

Any documentation received regarding the product purchase should be retained and a copy submitted in conjunction with any future repairs that may fall within warranty coverage.

"No. Still broke. Have not sent it to be checked by RayMarine. The only other possibility is that I have the transducer mounted on the left side of the propeller rather than the right side as recommended."
