e120 resolution interface via VGA
I am trying to mirror the e120 on my Samsung HD flat screen. The TV says mode not supported when I cable directly VGA-VGA. Samsung says your VGA signal is not compatible with theirs. So, just for the record what resolution does my e120 send on VGA. I have tried a PC 'monitor', it works fine; same cable. Also tried a VGA - HDMI converter, same message. There any number of 'active converters" for VGA-HDMI; is this the answer?
I have a trouble with a Gs95 HDMI output, Is the format the same: 720P ?

Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forum Cliff,
The E-Series Classic MFDs VGA signal output specifications are as follows:
- E120: 800x600 @56Hz
- E80: 640x480 @60Hz
When seeking a TV or monitor to interface to an E-Series MFD, one should select a TV having support for the VGA signal characteristics of the MFD being interfaced to the TV. One would typically find VGA support in high end TVs such as plasma units. That said, no specific TV models can be recommended as the market for such product is continuously changing. Customers are advised that when in doubt, consult with the TV manufacturer regarding which TV products feature support for the MFD's VGA signal characteristics. The most challenging product to interface is the E120 which features a relatively uncommon 56Hz refresh rate. We recently had one customer comment favorably on a VGA scaler which worked well in conjunction with his E120. To view the web page for this VGA scaler, click here. According to the customer, the scaler converted the E-120's VGA signal to a composite signal that was deemed of good quality. Please bear in mind that Raymarine has neither tested this VGA scaler, nor does it recommend any specific scaling products for use with its MFDs.
