Hi, I have a 27' SeaPro CC boat with the new "e" series MFD's and HD radar. It has twin outboard Mercury Verado's with hydraulic steering (not powered steering). Can I use the new EV-200 kit which has the steering drive on my boat?

The dry weight of the boat with the engines is about 6,000lb. Thanks.

You would be working with the EV-200 but with Twin Verados, you would need to hydraulic autopilot system.  T70157, then with Verados, you would need the Verado hose kit as well, A18127.

Thanks. That option is very expensive. Can I use the EV-100 instead?

Also, will the EV-1 function by itself and provide heading data to my e7 so I can get my radar overlay if I just purchase that separately?

Thanks again.

The EV-100 does not have the capacity to work with Verados, the option above is the only option that will work with your vessel.

The EV-1 will not work as a heading sensor only.

I would suggest the Airmar 2183 heading sensor (T70132) for heading data for overlay capabilities.

"The Ev200 we ordered came with the Rudder Reference Transducer, so we really don't want to have to but the SmartStick.  Is it possible to use the Rudder Reference since we already have it?  If so, can you explain how?  Thanks!"

"Brian, The only way that the S3 and ST6002 could be directly interfaced to the e7D would be to use the MFD's NMEA 0183 Port 1.  However, NMEA 0183 integration of the autopilot would prohibit use of the a/c/e/gS-Series MFD's Autopilot…"

Configuring a C120 classic to work with Simrad AP 24

Installed on my 25' CC with twin outboards I have the C120 classic along with Raymarine  Radar and DSM300.From what I have read on other posts, the C120 should be able to send NMEA 2000 data (depth and Nav) to the Simrad Autopilot via a NMEA 2000 Network backbone which can be constructed of SeaTalkng components (cables, terminators, T’s, 5-Way connectors, etc.)Do I need the A06048 SeaTalk2 to SeaTalkng Adapter Cable to interface the MFD as a spur to a NMEA 2000 network backbone? Are there any…See More

Planning a system for a Heritage East 36

Hi Guys,I am planning a system for a buddy of mine who has bought a 1989 Heritage East Sundeck Trawler. The previous owner was a minimalist who has a depth sounder with a display only on the fly bridge, a VHF radio (only on the fly bridge), a dead radar (only on the fly bridge), a dead GPS (only on the fly bridge)...well you get the picture.Basically the lower helm has the original Cummins engine gauges, wheel and throttle. My big question is whether there is a way to connect a SeaTalk ng…See More
