I am mounting 2 i50s on the mast as repeaters for an st50 plus and st6001 network. I think I can connect the 2 i50s with a spur cable and then take a spur cable through the deck and to t an r52131 converter and from there to the corepak 150 course computer. I also have an Interface E85001 hooked to the corepak 150 that I used to use for a B&G display which I no longer have. Is this the correct and simplest way to connect i50s to my network? Is there a through deck fitting from Raymarine that fits the cable properly and then do I need more cables? Simplest of all would be to take a spur cable from the mast and connect directly to the course computer. Does this also work? Thx, JD
With these products, the converter (E22158) will be the best and simplest way to connect them together. Raymarine does not have any fittings for cable runs. To confirm, you would daisy chain the i50's then run them to the Seatalk to Seatalk NG converter, into the while port, the ST50+ and ST6001 Seatalk equipment will be connected to the converter through the Seatalk yellow port. The last existing white port will be connected to power, to energize the Seatalk NG interface.
No, the Type 150 CC does not have a Seatalk NG interface available, so a direct connection is not suggested.
