Found the answer to my own question. No compatibility (graphics) between the E80 classic and the new a65. So...is there a "smaller" unit that I can use as a data and graphic "master" at the chart table that would be compatible with the old E80 classic?
Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forum Gordon,
Unfortunately, creation of a second station onboard would require that a second E-Series Classic MFD (E80, E120) be intalled onboard and that the additional MFD be interfaced to the currently installed E80 via SeaTalkhs communications. As the E-Series Classic MFDs have been retired for some time, the best source of such MFDs would be Internet auction sites (ebay, Craigs List, etc.). Alternatively, the currently installed E80 would need to be replaced with a new c/e-Series MFD (c95, c97, c125, c127, e7, e7D, e95, e97, e125, e127, e165) and an a-Series MFD (a65, a67).
