Airmar P79 transducer garmin compatible with Raymarine i40?

I have an existing Garmin Airmar P79 transducer used with a garmin device.  Can I use the same transducer for a new Raymarine i40 depth display?

Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forums Tammy and Gordie,

Unfortunately the Airmar P79 transducer for Garmin products is not compatible with the Raymarine i40, they both utilize different transducer cables. The P79 transducer part number that is compatible with the i40 instrument is E26001-pz.

"That is just grease put on the shaft to reduce friction, and there is no seal or bushing.  It is normal to see a little dripping at the bottom of the shaft."

Raymarine a78 spare power cord

Hi. I am looking for another power cable to boot up my a78. My boat is winterized and put away but the a78 is stored in my home. It would be great to update the unit's software version at home but I need another power cable as the one in the boat is permanent. Would anyone know if a R08003 or A80025 cable will work on the a78? Thanks.See More

Lighthouse charts

Hi Folks:  I recently purchased a new C97 mfd and tonight I updated the software.  I also downloaded the latest map for the US east coast and wasn't sure how to save it.  I added to the sd micro card that came with the unit and deleted the older version of the same map.  Now the Navionics chart seems to have disappeared off the sd micro card and although the map I downloaded is there in title it only shows as white with yellow outlines of florida and surrounding areas.  So, did I do something…See More

Type II linear drive

I noticed a small amount of oil dripping from the unit in the area where the shaft passes through a bushing/seal. Should there be any oil being released/dripping from the unit? If not, is there a repair kit for bushing/seals in the unit?
