Airmar P79 transducer garmin compatible with Raymarine i40?

I have an existing Garmin Airmar P79 transducer used with a garmin device.  Can I use the same transducer for a new Raymarine i40 depth display?

Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forums Tammy and Gordie,

Unfortunately the Airmar P79 transducer for Garmin products is not compatible with the Raymarine i40, they both utilize different transducer cables. The P79 transducer part number that is compatible with the i40 instrument is E26001-pz.

"I'll try that right away, but why would it reverse merely because I changed MFDs? And isn't the most likely result turning hard a-starboard?"

Screen replacement

We have a Lagoon 380S which uses RAymarine Electronic equipment. Two of the screens are now pretty hard to read either because of a condensation spot in the middle or due to cracks in the other one. One is a RayMarine Autopilot ST6001.The other one is a RayMarine E80 Display with RayMarine RayStar and 125 WAAS enable receiverDoes anyone know how I can replace them and the cost for that?See More
