Airmar P79 transducer garmin compatible with Raymarine i40?

I have an existing Garmin Airmar P79 transducer used with a garmin device.  Can I use the same transducer for a new Raymarine i40 depth display?

Welcome to the Raymarine Technical Forums Tammy and Gordie,

Unfortunately the Airmar P79 transducer for Garmin products is not compatible with the Raymarine i40, they both utilize different transducer cables. The P79 transducer part number that is compatible with the i40 instrument is E26001-pz.

"David, XID is only a feature of CHIRP transducer.  Transducers designed for use with the DSM250, DSM30, DSM300, DSM300G, CP370, and CP370 simply have a sense resistor identifying the transducer as a 600W or 1kW transducer.  As with the…"

David Stoia replied to David Stoia's discussion B260 E66033 compatibility with CP370?
"I'm curious...the B260 that replaced the one I have is E66079. It has an 8-pin connector similar in pattern to the retired 7-pin E66033, the 8th pin h*** located in the center of the plug in the above picture. This I believe is for the XID wire…"
